EFFICACY STUDIES

TRL has performed efficacy testing in a wide range of animal models and continues to develop new models based on client needs.  The team of researchers involved in the development of efficacy models collaborates with experts in the particular discipline, which are typically located directly within the University of Illinois making these collaborations seamless and efficient for our clients.  Efficacy models are available in multiple species, including mice, rabbits, dogs, ferrets, minipigs, and non-human primates.

Efficacy models previously developed and used at TRL include:

• Acute Radiation syndrome (mice, monkeys and mini pigs)
• Mucositis (G. pigs and mice)
• Diabetes models (mice and rats)
• Dental plaque and gingivitis (ferrets)
• Numerous cancer models (xenografts, orthotopic,, carcinogenic, transgenic)
• Hair growth (mice and monkeys)
• Rheumatoid Arthritis
• Gastro-intestinal inflammation (mice and monkeys)
• Cardio injury and arrhythmia (mice and monkeys)
